Littlestoke

We have the exclusive rights to a stretch of the River Thames at Littlestoke in Oxfordshire. It is bounded by Wallingford on one side and Goring on the other and is opposite the Cholsey & Moulsford stretch. The stretch is approximately 1.25 Miles in length with a variety of species present including Barbel to over 7lbs, Bream to 8lbs plus, Chub to 7lbs plus, Perch to 2lbs plus, Roach to 2lbs plus, one of which was caught as recently as December 2020 and as recently as June 2021 the Club Record Roach was equalled with a 2-2-0 specimen, and Pike to double figures.

It has a variety of swims and many features to fish to along the the whole.stretch . All methods of fishing bring results and catches of over 20lbs are possible with a record 84lbs+ of Bream being caught in 2006, a record haul for a River match in Club history.

Railway Bridge to Point of Island

This stretch is at the far end of the fishery from where we enter and ends at the sign designating the boundary by the Bridge. As the pictures show it is probably the most interesting section as far as variety of swims and well worth braving the walk to get there as it can throw up some decent weights throughout the year. It suffers a bit during the summer months with boat traffic but that should not deter you from fishing this stretch. All methods can yield results along this stretch and all species can be caught.
Cattle Drink and Gas Pipe Stretches

Another area that has suffered from natures incessant advances which the work parties have helped to maintain several swims for people to fish. All methods can work along this stretch and when the bream are scholling decent bags can be forthcoming.
1st Meadow
The 1st Meadow is at the entrance to the fishery and suffers in much the same way as the other stretches with plant growth although there are a number of swims worth trying. Again all methods are worth trying and can be rewarding on its day and there is a good depth of water throughout.
Little Meadow
The little meadow has a number of swims available now the work parties have done their work and can reward the angler willing to walk up there. The footbridge has been repaired now so it is safe to cross into the meadow.
