Our 1st Working Party of the Season took place at Littlestoke on the 28th May and 6 of our members made the effort to come out on a Bank Holiday Sunday so a big thank you to Andy, Bob, Chris, Phil, Tom and Trevor for all their efforts.

 

They managed to clear 27 swims in Meadows 1,2 and 3 from the Railway Bridge all the way to the top of the downstream section.  There was a lot of growth.  They cleared a path from the entrance across the Bridge to the River in the Top Meadow.  Lack of time , fuel and general tiredness prevented more being done.  Considering the average age of those taking part was 66 that was a great effort.  See the pictures below to see the guys who went out and some of their work.

 

Trevor, Tom and Chris will find a weekday to do the 8 or so swims in the top meadow.   If anyone else fancies a mornings work please contact Chris.
